Hello everyone how is your day going? Mine is okay outside of the weather. Getting really cold here. I want to think Libro.fm for my alc for a honest review.
Synopis: Newlyweds Sam Statler and Annie Potter are head over heels, and excited to say good-bye to New York and start a life together in Sam’s sleepy hometown in upstate New York. Or, it turns out, a life where Annie spends most of her time alone while Sam, her therapist husband, works long hours in his downstairs office, tending to the egos of his (mostly female) clientele.
Little does Sam know that through a vent in his ceiling, every word of his sessions can be heard from the room upstairs. The pharmacist’s wife, contemplating a divorce. The well-known painter whose boyfriend doesn’t satisfy her in bed. Who could resist listening? Everything is fine until the French girl in the green mini Cooper shows up, and Sam decides to go to work and not come home, throwing a wrench into Sam and Annie’s happily ever after.
MY THOUGHTS: This book started off really good, I loved the storyline and the plot. In the beginning, the old lady voice I thought was played by his mother, but turns out to be a older gentleman that rented out a studio for him to use. Part two really thru me off. You have to really pay attention to this one because if not you will not know whats going on. This book touches on mental health. Was definitely different read. The narrator’s did a amazing job. This book was read by four narrators George Newbern, Joel Froomkin, Marin Ireland and Val Toomey. This book is 7 hours and 55 minutes long. It is recorded by Harper audio. I gave this one a 4 star.
